07/23/19 Mtg - Your First Transceiver?


6pm - Pre-meeting "dutch treat" meal is at Burrito Brothers Mexican Restaurant in Asheboro on N Fayetteville St.

7pm - Meeting held at the Asheboro/Randolph Library (upstairs conference room or reading lounge if we need more space) on 201 Worth Street, Asheboro. Meeting is open to ANYONE interested in amateur radio.

Meeting Business: Finances, Next license testing session, New or upgraded hams, New members, Brief news from club members, Old Business (if any), New Business: Vote on a club logo.

Meeting Program: Danny Shaw, KG4CDI will discuss "What was the first two way radio you can remember talking on?". He will share about his first time on a radio and how through the years it lead him to amateur radio. He may even bring in one of those radios for show and tell! Then it's your turn to share what you remember from back in the day. Feel free to bring in the radio that started it all (or a picture if it's too heavy). It will be interesting to see what comes up.
