July 24, 2018 Meeting - NTS


6pm - Pre-meeting "dutch treat" meal is at Burrito Brothers restaurant in Asheboro.

7pm - Meeting held at LnR Precision at 1954 N. Fayetteville Street, Asheboro. Meeting is open to members, their family, and ANYONE interested in amateur radio.

Meeting Business: We will talk about incorporating the club and what to look forward to at the August meeting on this topic.

Meeting Program: Kenny Grabarczyk, KK4HAO, Net Manager of the Piedmont Triad Traffic Net will present about the nightly net and the National Traffic System. Net info http://www.ncarrl.org/nets/nc_local_nets.html

Here is a brief introduction of what he will be presenting to the group:

The Piedmont Triad Traffic Net is a National Traffic System net that handles formal written traffic of any nature. We handle emergency traffic that is used in disaster relief and also Priority as well as Welfare traffic. Mostly we handle routine traffic that is of non emergency nature. Our net is nightly at 7:30pm on the GAS 145.25 repeater and we invite anyone who can check in to do so.
